What is KicStart™ VLCD?

KicStart™ VLCD (stands for Very Low Calorie Diet) is a unique, high quality, nutritionally complete meal replacement that has been developed, manufactured and packaged in Australia using the most up-to-date technology and ingredients currently available.

By substituting a KicStart™ shake for a normal meal, your hunger is satisfied and your nutritional requirements are met whilst you achieve a significant reduction in the total kilojoules (or calories) eaten. This means your body starts to use its stored fat for energy and you start to lose weight. Using KicStart™ as part of a weight loss and maintenance program is a short term strategy designed to help "kick start" your weight loss and boost your motivation, which allows you to give 100% of your attention to learning and practising your new lifestyle skills.

KicStart™ VLCD has been specifically formulated so that it is appropriate for use in a medically supervised Very Low Calorie Diet program replacing all meals each day for the dietary management of obesity.

NOTE: Not all meal replacement products are the same. Unless specifically formulated for the purpose, most meal replacements are not sufficiently nutritionally complete for use as a VLCD.

Alternately KicStart™ can also be used in a partial meal replacement strategy, replacing just one or two meals a day, as part of a healthy eating and activity weight management plan.
