By way of introduction, PRIMA is an Australian owned and operated healthcare company established in 2004. We are an ISO 9001:2008 accredited company with highly refined and effective weight management governance practices and procedures in place.

Since its inception PRIMA has specialised in the research, development and large scale delivery (especially via remote mechanisms) of high quality products and programs targeting obesity and obesity related chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease and osteoarthritis.

The specialised PRIMA products include KicStart™ VLCD and the portion control eating system and tools called the TEMplate System™.

The specialised PRIMA programs are delivered under the umbrella program brand “Healthy Weight For Life™”. The programs strategically combine KicStart™ VLCD, structured portion controlled eating, self monitoring and tracking, plus personalised telephone coaching, motivation, support and advice by qualified, experienced and trained healthcare professionals.

The rigor of the quality systems, processes and expert staff behind the programs ensure consistent, predictable and significant outcomes irrespective of rural, regional or metropolitan location of the end user.

PRIMA is currently contracted to provide our specialised obesity management programs for eligible members of several large Australian private health insurance funds such as Medibank Private (see Feelbetter Magazine, Spring / Summer 2011 page 29), BUPA and HCF. Combined, these health funds cover approximately 70% of all privately insured patients.
